Momentum Support nominated for The Golden Service Awards!

Enovation client Momentum Support has been nominated for the 2022 Kimberly-Clark Professional™ Golden Service Awards recognising excellence, performance and commitment. We sat down with Sinéad Woods,Training & Organisational Development Manager at Momentum Support to discuss how the introduction of Moodle Workplace inspired their submission to the prestigious awards.

Why Moodle Workplace?
The Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020 posed a particular challenge to Momentum Support: as multiple sites closed, their healthcare sites were busier than ever and staff needed urgent access to updated training.

In collaboration with Enovation, Sinéad and her team in Momentum Support developed specialist training programmes for healthcare workers to be delivered through Moodle Workplace. Sinéad told us how important it was for Momentum to make training accessible, compliant and safe for all employees:

“Moodle Workplace really helps drive training performance – the system automatically handles reminders for refresher training, creates reports on demand and generates certificates for employees. Despite the pressured timelines, thanks to Moodle Workplace we were able to deliver everything to the highest standards with all materials fully on brand, which is reassuring to our staff.”

Building on Success
The L&D team at Momentum were keen to build on the early success of Moodle Workplace and expanded its use in June 2002 to launch the Momentum Training Academy. This extended the organisation’s training reach to all staff at a time of on-going Covid19 restrictions. Since extending Moodle Workplace, Momentum Support has seen a 58% increase in active workforce engagement, exceeding Sinead’s expectations.

Cost Savings
Alongside the improved employee engagement, the L&D team analysed the cost of training and found significant savings from Moodle Workplace compared to existing training approaches.

Next Steps
While we’ll have our fingers crossed for Sinead and her team on Awards night, Enovation’s project lead, Senior Learning Consultant Mary O’Hara, is focused in help Momentum Support continue to innovate and explore the Moodle Workplace platform:

“[The Projects] Success to date really has been due to the dedication that Sinead has given to the project, and her clear passion for her role and the learning needs of MS employees. I am thoroughly looking forward to shaping the next step of our partnership together – very exciting times ahead”
