MootIEUK is a three-day online event bringing together diverse and talented Moodle users, educators, workplace trainers, organisations’ personnel, government staff and leading edtech minds from across the world to collaborate and share elearning ideas. We sat down with our friends over at MootIEUK to discuss this year’s event.
Who are you and how does your company help your clients?
As one of the first official Moodle partners in the world, Enovation has been working with Moodle for nearly two decades and has expanded to be partners in France and Poland.
While we’re experts at hosting, deploying and supporting Moodle, we are also innovators at heart. Enovation is the only partner in Ireland to offer MEC and has been awarded Moodle Educator Partner of the Year for 2021.
Have you attended a Moodle Moot before?
Every year, without failure, Enovation attends and sponsors the Irish/UK MoodleMoot. We’re always looking forward to this event and getting to meet the Moodle community. We would not miss it for anything in the world! We’ll also be attending the French MoodleMoot and the GlobalMoot in Barcelona later this year.
What is the title of your presentation at this year’s Moot?
We are thrilled to have our client – GIZ – co-present about the exciting projects we have been working on together. And of course, this MoodleMoot would not be complete without talking about Moodle 4.0 – to the point that we will be hosting two sessions on this topic – a short presentation and a workshop to dive deeper into the new features of the LMS. We will also be talking about Moodle development with a presentation on ways to improve Moodle’s password policy with a check for known passwords.
Give us a brief description of what to look forward to?
Our presentation with GIZ will give an overview of the atingi project and digital learning platform – a Moodle Workplace implementation developed for GIZ by Enovation. We will be looking at how their tenancies have been enhanced to meet their objectives and how their fast-growing content catalogue can be easily browsed to find relevant courses. We’ll also lead a workshop on the best practices of Gamification.
What is your favourite aspect of a Moodlemoot?
We love to be able to interact with the Moodle community and discuss real case scenarios whether it’s during the presentations, workshops or networking and social events.
