The National Digital Learning Repository (NDLR) provides services and support to enable the sharing of digital learning content and teaching experience across Universities, Institutes of Technologies and associated Colleges supported by the HEA. The NDLR mission is "to promote and support Higher Education sector staff in the collaboration, development and sharing of learning resources and associate teaching practices". The NDLR provides an online repository and community portal to support collaboration and sharing of teaching and learning resources within the Irish Third Level Education sector.

Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere: Aer Lingus chooses Moodle for Online Pilot Training |
|
The airline industry is highly regulated and all pilots must continually refresh their skills by undertaking compulsory annual training courses. Aptly named, ground-school, the pilot training courses at Aer Lingus incorporate simulator training with procedural and aircraft operation training. Up to now, the majority of the ground-school programme has been delivered in a classroom environment with 10 pilots in each class. All 500 pilots must complete the course each year in order to maintain their flying status in accordance with EU regulations.

Since September 2007, Moodle has been firmly installed as the e-Learning tool of choice for Portmarnock Community School in County Dublin.
This is in no small part due to the fact that, Assistant Principal, Donal O’Mahony became interested in Moodle while doing a Masters in e-Learning at Dublin City University and saw how he could use the online learning environment to enhance teaching and learning at his school.
